Victoria Verseau

BIO 
(* 1988) Victoria Verseau (b. 1988) is a Swedish artist and filmmaker based on the island of Gotland. 
She is a graduate of the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm.
Her works and films have been presented in solo and group exhibitions, including at Whitechapel Gallery, 
Hammer Museum, Fondazione Prada, Neuer Berliner Kunstverein (n.b.k.), and Para Site Hong Kong.

In her work, Victoria Verseau explores themes of the body, memory, and identity, as well as the tension 
between a mystified past and a demystified present. Her practice often draws on personal experiences of 
being trans and living as a woman. Through her own story, she addresses broader existential questions, 
who we are, how we exist, and who we aspire to become.
